CHIP N SEAL: is another way to do an overlay of poor condition asphalt or concrete driveway. The surface is sprayed with hot tar, the 3-4 inches of pee gravel or aggregate is the rolled into the tar. About 2 inches is compressed into the tar and the rest remains loose on top of the driveway. It a upscale gravel driveway, but the cost are not the same. Chip n Seal driveways can last a very long time with very little to no maintenance. Normal the only places where there is any wear and tear is where vehicles pivot there tires. As long as the driveway have side barriers, either metal or brick to keep the pee gravel from washing away.

Cost of this service also is based on the size of the job. We will not even start a job unless the project is 2000 sq feet or more. The company that delivers the hot tar starts charging a minimum of 2000 sq feet which is about a full truck load. They will not dump just some. It has to be all or nothing.
