VET PD Reading

Part of any well-rounded Professional Development activity is reading various articles relevant to the topic in question; including those related to current affairs within the Vocational Education and Training sector.

VET PD Group has compiled a list of links to recent articles and mentions. Whilst certainly not comprehensive, we hope the regular updates, with access from one easy spot, make for interesting reading.

For practitioners looking to use PD readings as an entry in their professional development log, remember to update your register of completed activities as this could be useful evidence toward Clause 1.16 of the Standards for RTOs 2015.

Clauses 1.13b, 1.13c and 1.16

...the RTO’s training and assessment is delivered only by persons who have:

b) current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided

c) current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs their training and assessment.

The RTO ensures that all trainers and assessors undertake professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
