Terre Balof
Terre (pronounced Terry and is part of a family name) has lived in Lynchburg for five and a half years. She moved here to serve as the minister of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Lynchburg. Terre was born and raised in Clarksdale, MS, at the “crossroads of the blues”. After growing up in a small town, Terre became fascinated by people and cultures whose worldviews are different from her own. Though she has always lived in the South, she has been fortunate to travel some in her life. Her particular travel interests are Latin America and any place with a jungle. Terre enjoys learning about the stories others have gathered in their lives and is looking forward to the new adventure in her life.
Terre has three children who live in South Carolina, North Carolina and Minnesota. Her grandchildren live in Greensboro and she will be happy to show you their pictures! Terre enjoys reading, visiting with friends, art, and new adventures. Ask her about Jill’s Blankets which she hopes to make with new friends at WC to give to chemo patients.
She is excited about learning new things (hopefully some in the woodshop and watercolor classes) and to meet the delightful folks at Westminster Canterbury.
