This Privacy Policy explains how appupdo processes information in connection with the Verixa IPTV Player application.
Verixa IPTV Player is an independent media player. The application does not provide, host, sell, distribute, or promote television channels, movies, series, playlists, subscriptions, or other media content. Users must only add third-party sources they are legally authorized to access and use.
To provide its core functionality, Verixa IPTV Player may process the following information entered or generated by the user:
Playlist names and M3U addresses
Local M3U files selected by the user
Xtream Codes server address, username, and password
EPG/TV guide addresses and program information
Channel, movie, series, season, and episode information
Favorites and favorite folders
Viewing history
Movie and episode playback progress
Player preferences
Home screen layout and category preferences
Parental control settings
Local cache and TV guide data
This information is processed on the user’s device for the application to function. It is not uploaded to a server operated by the developer.
Xtream Codes information entered by the user is used only to connect to the Xtream service specified by the user.
The Xtream server address, username, and password are encrypted and stored on the device using protection provided by Android Keystore. This information is not sent to the developer, sold, or used for advertising.
Local M3U files are opened through Android’s system file picker. The application does not request access to all files on the device and only reads files explicitly selected by the user.
Xtream, M3U, EPG, and streaming servers added by the user are independent third-party services. Their respective privacy policies and data-handling practices apply.
The application may connect to the internet to:
Download an M3U playlist added by the user
Authenticate an Xtream account and retrieve content lists
Play live streams, movies, and series episodes
Download EPG/TV guide information
Display channel logos, posters, and background images
These connections are made directly to the content or service provider selected by the user. The relevant server may process the user’s IP address, connection time, and standard network request information according to its own policies.
If the user adds an unencrypted HTTP address, the security of that connection depends on the relevant server and network environment. Users are encouraged to select trusted providers that support HTTPS whenever possible.
Verixa does not control the security, availability, legality, or data-handling practices of third-party servers.
Verixa IPTV Player does not use a developer-operated analytics or user-tracking server.
The application does not:
Display advertisements
Collect an advertising identifier
Create advertising profiles
Access location information
Access contacts
Use the camera or microphone
Access SMS messages or call records
Sell personal information
Track users for advertising purposes
Send playlists or passwords to the developer
Google Play may process certain information related to app downloads and usage under Google’s own terms and privacy policy.
The application can generate a technical diagnostic report on the device to help investigate playback problems.
The report may include:
The name of the channel or content being played
Network connection type
Video resolution
Video and audio codec information
Video bitrate
Buffer percentage
Number of dropped frames
Playback speed
Details of the last playback error
Diagnostic reports are not sent automatically. A report is shared only when the user explicitly starts the sharing process and selects another application as the recipient.
Xtream passwords, playlist passwords, and streaming addresses are not intentionally included in diagnostic reports. Once a report is shared, the privacy policy of the selected recipient application applies.
Xtream credentials are encrypted using Android Keystore.
The parental control PIN is not stored as plain text. It is stored on the device in a salted and hashed form.
Backups exported by the application are encrypted with AES-256/GCM using a password selected by the user. Xtream passwords and addresses containing credentials are excluded from exported backups.
No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should use strong passwords, protect their backup files, and connect only to trusted service providers.
If Android system backup is enabled, certain non-credential application preferences may be included in the device backup associated with the user’s Google account.
Xtream account information and saved playlist information are excluded from Android cloud backup. Android system backups are managed under Google’s own privacy policy.
Locally stored information may remain on the device until one of the following occurs:
The user deletes the relevant playlist or favorite
The user clears viewing history
The user clears the media cache
The user removes saved EPG data
The user removes the Xtream account from the application
The user clears the application’s data through Android settings
The user uninstalls the application
Encrypted backup files exported by the user may not be deleted automatically when the application is removed. The user is responsible for storing and deleting these files.
The retention period for information processed by third-party content providers is determined by each provider’s own policies.
From the application’s Settings section, users can:
Clear viewing history
Clear the media cache
Remove saved EPG information
Delete locally stored Xtream credentials
Delete playlists and favorites
All local application data can be deleted by using the “Clear data” option in Android system settings or by uninstalling the application.
Verixa does not create a separate Verixa user account. Any Xtream account entered into the application belongs to a third-party provider. Removing Xtream information from the application only deletes locally stored credentials and does not close the account held by the third-party provider.
Verixa IPTV Player is not specifically designed for children. The application does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Parents and legal guardians may use the parental control feature to protect selected content categories with a PIN. The user is responsible for the suitability of content and playlists added to the application.
Users are responsible for:
Adding only sources they are legally authorized to use
Protecting playlist and Xtream credentials from unauthorized access
Reviewing the privacy policies of third-party providers
Protecting exported backup files and backup passwords
Complying with copyright laws, licensing terms, and applicable local laws
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the application’s features, legal requirements, or data-handling practices change.
The current version will be published on this page and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
