Research interests
My research area is mathematical analysis, more precisely, partial differential equations and calculus of variations. The main focus is on existence and regularity theory for a wide class of nonlinear elliptic and parabolic equations and systems. I am particularly interested in phenomena appearing from a singular or degenerate behavior of the PDE or functional. These problems are connected to many different applications, such as fluid dynamics, diffusion in nonhomogeneous media, and evolution of glaciers. Methods from different fields of analysis, like harmonic analysis, functional analysis, and measure theory are applied.
