Vonny is very excited to perform here at Normandale once again. With her long history in acting starting at seven years old, she has continuously strived to be the best artist she can be. As an artist of color, she has a particular interest in breaking down barriers and opening doors for others like her. She has previously made her mark at Normandale as Evelyn in Too Heavy for Your Pocket, starring in Normandale’s original In This Together production, Bama in Antlia Pneumatica, Kate in The Normandale Play Project, Hippolyta & Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Truvy in Steel Magnolias, Helen Potts in Picnic, and Io in Prometheus Bound. She also appeared in multiple roles during her time at Washburn High school, as well as took part in a traveling theater company which performed for Minnesota colleges, high schools, and a local TV station. She has an Associate of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Performance and will receive her BA in Theatre Arts through the Normandale partnership program with Southwest Minnesota State University. She would like to thank God for the gift of this talent and dedicate this show to her sweet baby girl, Rue Essence.
