Overview
Vellum Array is a personal plant record application. It lets you save plant profiles, photos selected from your device, planted dates, soil details, light needs, health ratings, watering intervals, watering history, watering timer records, journal notes, and collection statistics.
Information We Collect
The app stores information you enter into the app, including plant names, dates, soil and light details, notes, health ratings, watering amounts, watering history, journal entries, and local photo file paths for images you select. This information is stored locally on your device using Hive local storage.
The app uses Google Play Billing for optional contribution purchases. Purchase processing is handled by Google Play and may be subject to Google's own data practices.
The app includes a WebView that opens this privacy policy URL and uses internet access for that page.
Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
The app does not include an account system, authentication, cloud sync, analytics SDK, ads SDK, crash reporting SDK, location access, microphone access, contacts access, or camera capture flow. The app does not intentionally collect your name, email address, precise location, contacts, microphone recordings, or account credentials.
How We Use Information
Your locally stored plant information is used to display your plant records, calculate watering status, show history and statistics, edit existing plant entries, and delete records when requested. Optional purchase information is used only to process voluntary contribution purchases through Google Play Billing.
Data Sharing
The app does not send your plant records to a developer server. The app does not sell your personal information. Google Play Billing and the policy WebView are third-party services that may process data according to their own policies.
Third-Party Services
The app uses Google Play Billing for optional contribution purchases and WebView technology to display the online privacy policy. The app also uses Flutter and local device storage libraries. No analytics, advertising, crash reporting, authentication, or cloud database service is implemented in the source code inspected for this policy.
Data Storage and Security
Plant records are stored locally on your device through Hive. Selected photo references are stored as local file paths. The source code does not implement custom encryption or cloud backup for this data. Device-level security, backups, and access controls depend on your operating system and device settings.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your plant records remain on your device until you edit them, delete individual entries where available, use the in-app Delete All Data action, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. Because there is no account system or cloud sync, the developer cannot remotely access or delete local app data for you.
Children's Privacy
The app is not designed to collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes a child has entered information into the app, they can delete the information from the device using the app's delete controls, device storage settings, or uninstall process.
User Choices
You can choose what plant information and photos to add. You can decline optional contribution purchases. You can use the Delete All Data action to remove locally stored plant records from the app. You can also remove app data through your device settings.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when app features, permissions, or third-party services change. The effective date above will be updated when the policy changes.
