VectorHunter is an AI-powered mosquito detection and pest control application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.
By using VectorHunter, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Camera
Purpose: Real-time AI object detection (mosquito scanning)
Processing: All images are initially processed locally on your device using TensorFlow Lite. If you use the optional "AI 2-Tier Verification" feature, a cropped image of a potential target will be securely transmitted to Google Gemini AI for a secondary verification. These transmitted images are temporary, processed only to return a result, and are immediately and permanently deleted from the server.
Storage: Only images you explicitly choose to save are stored on your device. We never store your camera images on our servers.
Location (GPS/Network)
Purpose: Heatmap visualization, mosquito distribution tracking, global user data aggregation
Processing: Location data is anonymized and aggregated before it is stored on our servers. Individual users cannot be identified from this data.
Note: You can use the app without location permission, but heatmap features will be limited.
Device Information
Purpose: App performance optimization, crash reporting, user analytics
Collected: Device model, OS version, app version, anonymous user ID
User Feedback (AI Model Improvement)
Purpose: AI model improvement, false detection reporting
Collected: If you actively participate in our feedback program and submit an image flagged as "mosquito" or "dust", this image is used solely to improve our AI model. We will always ask for your explicit consent (Opt-in) before your submitted images are used for AI training. Anonymous metadata may also be collected.
