All student-athletes that participate in After School Sports at Valley Center Middle School must have a completed and verified Athletic Clearance Packet turned in prior to tryouts. The deadline for Athletic Clearance Packets (including Medical Physical) is usually one week before the tryout date.
Due Dates for Athletic Clearance Packets will be posted on the After School Sports page and announced at school.

TRYOUTS FOR WINER SPORTS WILL BE ON 11/18 and 11/19. COMPLETED ATHLETIC PACKETS ARE DUE TO MRS. STEHLY BY FRIDAY, 11/15.
Practices will be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:15-4:45 except on game days. Practice will NOT be held on early release days.

FALL SPORTS- Volleyball, Flag Football, Co-Ed Cross Country
FALL SPORTS- Volleyball, Flag Football, Co-Ed Cross Country
TRYOUTS FOR FALL SPORTS ARE ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY 9/9 AND 9/10.
Practices are after school Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 3:15-4:45 for (3:15-4:15 for cross country).
Most games are on Tuesdays (with a couple of home games on Fridays) and cross country meets are on Thursdays.
Here is the schedule for fall sports.
Below is the athletic clearance packet for 2024-2025 school year. The packet must be complete with ALL pages signed and the medical clearance. Students also need a copy of the FRONT and BACK of their medical insurance card.

SPRING SPORTS- Girls Varsity and JV Basketball, Boys Varsity Soccer, and Co-Ed Track and Field
SPRING SPORTS- Girls Varsity and JV Basketball, Boys Varsity Soccer, and Co-Ed Track and Field
Spring sports generally start in late Febraury and end early May. Practices are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (basketball and soccer ONLY) and Thursday 3:15-4:45 (track practices will be from 3:15-4:30).
VCMS offers the following sports:
Fall: September - October
Volleyball
Flag Football
Co-Ed Cross Country
Winter: December - February
Boys Basketball
Girls Soccer
Spring: March - May
Boys Soccer
Girls Basketball
Co-Ed Track and Field
VCMS does not provide transportation to or from games. Parents must transport their own children.
Many athletes rely on other parent volunteer's to drive them to games.
If you are able and willing to volunteer we would love your help!
Please fill out the attached "Field Trip by Private Vehicle" form.
Remember to attach a copy of your current automobile insurance policy, current registration and drivers license.
These need to be completed and verified ahead of time, so please turn them into your child's coach at least 3 days before you plan to drive.
