SUMMARY
VaultX is an offline password manager. Your vault data (passwords, notes, categories, master password, and recovery key material) stays on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. We do not operate a cloud account for vault sync. Free users may see Google AdMob ads. Paid subscriptions are handled by Google Play Billing.
WHO WE ARE
This Privacy Policy explains how AppsConz (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the mobile application VaultX, also referred to as Password Backup (the “App”), available on Google Play.

SCOPE
This Policy applies to:
Use of the VaultX Android application
Related pages on our website that link to this Policy
Inquiries you send us by email
It does not control how Google, AdMob, or Google Play process data under their own policies.
OUR PRIVACY PRINCIPLES
Vault stays local. Passwords and related vault entries are stored on your device in an encrypted database (SQLCipher).
No vault cloud sync. We do not provide an AppsConz cloud login that uploads your password vault to our servers.
No account required to use the vault. You unlock the App with a master password and/or pattern you create on the device, optionally with device biometrics.
You control exports. Backup export/import is optional and started by you.
DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT
We do not collect, receive, or store on our servers:
Your vault passwords, usernames, website/app logins, notes, or categories
Your master password or pattern
Your recovery key in plaintext
A user profile, email account, or social login for vault access
Clipboard contents, beyond what the App may temporarily use on-device when you choose to copy a field
DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
To provide the App’s features, VaultX stores information locally on your device, which may include:
Vault entries: titles, usernames, passwords, notes, categories, and timestamps
Security settings: master password / pattern setup, recovery-key related material, biometric unlock preference, auto-lock preference, wrong-attempt lockout state
App preferences: UI and feature settings needed for normal operation
Subscription status (local cache): whether Google Play reports an active Premium entitlement, used to hide ads
Vault database content is protected with on-device encryption (SQLCipher). App preferences may use Android platform storage appropriate to the feature (including encrypted preference storage where implemented).
Because this data lives on your device, anyone with physical access to an unlocked device, a successful unlock, or access to an exported backup file you create may be able to view vault contents. Protect your device lock screen, master credentials, recovery key, and backup files.
PERMISSIONS
Depending on Android version and feature use, the App may request or use:
Internet / network state: to load ads (free version) and communicate with Google Play Billing
Biometric / fingerprint: optional unlock using your device biometric hardware
Billing: Google Play in-app subscriptions
Storage / documents access (via system pickers): only when you export or import a backup file
We do not use these permissions to upload your vault to AppsConz servers.
EXPORT AND IMPORT BACKUPS
If you use Export backup, the App can create a backup file (for example JSON) that may contain vault data in a readable form so you can restore it later. Import reads a backup file you select.
Export/import are user-initiated.
We do not automatically upload backup files to AppsConz.
If you store a backup in cloud storage, email, messaging apps, or another device, that service’s privacy policy applies to the copy you place there.
Only import backups you trust. Importing an untrusted file can overwrite or alter your vault.
ADVERTISING (FREE USERS)
If you use the free version, the App may show advertisements provided by Google AdMob (and related Google advertising services). Ads may include banner and interstitial formats.
Google and its partners may collect or process information such as:
Advertising ID / device identifiers
IP address and approximate location derived from IP
Device and app information
Ad interaction and performance data
This processing is governed by Google’s policies, including the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and AdMob / Google Play services disclosures. You can often limit ad personalization in your device settings (for example, reset or delete advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads where available).
Premium subscribers: if you purchase VaultX Premium through Google Play, the App is designed to hide ads while your subscription remains active.
PAYMENTS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
Subscriptions (for example monthly or yearly Premium plans) are sold and processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive your full payment card number. Google may share with us limited purchase/entitlement information needed to unlock Premium features (such as product identifiers and purchase status).
Manage, cancel, or request refunds according to Google Play’s subscription and refund rules in your Google account / Play Store settings.
Relevant Google policies: Google Privacy Policy and Google Play Terms of Service.
ANALYTICS, CRASH REPORTING, AND ACCOUNTS
At the time of this Policy, VaultX does not use a separate AppsConz backend account system for vault sync, and does not intentionally upload vault contents for analytics.
Standard Android / Google Play infrastructure may still process limited technical data needed to distribute the App, process payments, show ads, or protect services against abuse. Those services are operated by Google under their own terms.
If we later add optional analytics, crash reporting, or cloud features, we will update this Policy before such features process personal data in a new way.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
VaultX is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a contact channel, please email us and we will take appropriate steps.
DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
On-device vault data: retained on your device until you delete entries, erase/reset the vault (where available in-app), uninstall the App, or clear the App’s data in Android settings.
Backup files you export: retained wherever you saved them, under your control.
Emails you send us: retained as needed to respond to your request and for legitimate business records, then deleted or archived according to our normal practices.
Purchase records: primarily retained by Google Play; we may keep limited entitlement-related records as needed to support Premium access.
Uninstalling VaultX typically removes the App’s local vault from that device. It does not automatically delete backup copies you previously exported or stored elsewhere.
SECURITY
We design VaultX around on-device protection, including:
Encrypted vault storage (SQLCipher)
Master password and/or pattern unlock
Optional biometric unlock using the device’s platform APIs
Recovery key flow for account recovery on-device
Auto-lock behavior to reduce exposure when the App leaves the foreground
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. You are responsible for choosing a strong master password, keeping your recovery key safe, and protecting exported backups.
HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We do not sell your vault contents. We may share or disclose information only as follows:
Service providers / platforms: Google (Play Billing, AdMob / advertising services, Play distribution)
Legal requirements: if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security
Business transfers: if AppsConz is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, limited business information may transfer under appropriate safeguards, and this Policy will be updated if practices change
Again: your password vault is not uploaded to AppsConz cloud servers as part of normal App operation.
INTERNATIONAL USERS
The App may be used in different countries. On-device processing stays on your device. Third-party platforms such as Google may process data in other countries according to their policies and applicable law.
YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data, or to object to certain processing. For VaultX:
Most vault data is controlled directly on your device (edit/delete entries, erase vault, uninstall, clear app data).
For advertising choices, use Android / Google ad settings.
For subscription management, use Google Play.
For requests about emails or other information you sent us, contact support@appsconz.com.
If applicable law provides additional rights (for example GDPR/UK GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), contact us and we will respond as required. Because we do not operate a vault cloud account, many requests may be fulfilled by using in-device controls listed above.
THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES
The App or our website may link to third-party sites or services (including Google Play). Their privacy practices are their own. Review their policies before providing information to them.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be described in the App listing or on our website. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy, to the extent permitted by law.
