I study dynamical systems with hyperbolic behavior, which provide a mechanism to describe how stochastic phenomena emerge from deterministic laws. I am particularly interested in systems whose hyperbolic behavior is non-uniform. My research uses tools from ergodic theory, thermodynamic formalism, smooth dynamics, and geometry.
