Research in Climate Physics, Impacts & Technology
Bienvenu! This site is dedicated to my research in fluid dynamics, climate science and the quantification of climate risk. My main application areas include:
Fundamental understanding of fluid dynamical processes in geophysical and engineering flows via their numerical simulation, model reduction, and visualisation.
Better representation of the global climate in general circulation models through improved subgrid parameterisation, data assimilation and ensemble forecasting methods.
Application of data driven methods for learning and forecasting the impact of climate variability & change on socio-economic development and security.
Development of technological engineering solutions for climate change mitigation.
You can find more detail on these initiatives on the Research page, the brilliant people contributing to the work on the Students & Mentees page, and a chronological list of papers and presentations by year on the Publication & Outreach page.
If you're interested to hear about my career journey and what motivates me, check out the About Me and Teaching & Service pages.
