This Privacy Policy explains how Maksym Revakovskyi ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the Vartovyi mobile application ("App").
Vartovyi is an Android utility app that monitors Telegram notifications on your device and triggers an alarm only when your configured keyword rules match.
The App is designed to process data primarily on your device.
Depending on your usage, the App may process the following categories of information:
- Notification content from Telegram notifications (message text and metadata available via Android notification APIs).
- User-defined settings (for example: trigger words, stop words, selected channels, schedule, alarm settings).
- App event logs (for example: matched/skipped events and timestamps).
- Technical app state required for core functionality (for example: monitoring state, cooldown state).
Important: We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data beyond what is required for the App's core functionality.
We process the information described in this Policy to provide the App's features (monitoring, matching, alarms, logs) and to maintain reliable behavior. Depending on applicable law, processing may be based on providing the App to you, your consent where required (for example, certain permissions), and/or our legitimate interests in operating and improving the App, consistent with your rights.
We process information to:
- detect relevant Telegram notifications based on your configured rules;
- trigger and control alarm behavior;
- display logs and status inside the App;
- keep your configuration and monitoring behavior working as expected.
Data is stored locally on your device using Android local storage mechanisms (such as DataStore and local database storage). We do not operate our own remote backend for storing your Telegram notification content or your keyword configuration as part of the App's core functionality in the current version. We do not intentionally transfer your App content to third parties for advertising purposes.
At this time, the App does not require a remote backend to perform its core logic.
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your in-app content with third parties for advertising purposes.
The App uses Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google) for crash reporting. Crashlytics may collect crash logs, device information, and app state at the time of a crash. This data is used solely to diagnose and fix technical issues. Firebase Crashlytics is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
We do not use any other third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection SDKs.
Your data is retained on your device until you delete it through App actions (for example, clearing logs or changing settings), uninstall the App, or reset device/app data.
You can:
- disable monitoring at any time;
- modify or delete keyword rules and related settings;
- clear logs (where supported in the App);
- uninstall the App to remove locally stored app data (subject to Android system behavior).
The App may request permissions and special access required for core features, such as notification access and foreground service behavior. These permissions are used only to provide the described functionality.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
