About Me
I am a researcher and entrepreneur committed to bridging the gap between evidence and policy, translating insights into action for sustainable impact.
I currently work as a Senior Research Analyst in the Natural Resources and Resilience Unit at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), New Delhi. With a PhD from Humboldt University, Berlin—completed as a guest researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK)—I bring a dynamic and results-driven approach to addressing the complex nexus of food, water, energy, and land. My expertise lies in employing both partial equilibrium and computable general equilibrium models to deliver clear, evidence-based analyses that inform sustainable transformation pathways globally and specifically for India. These integrated assessments of water, energy, and climate policies form the core of my doctoral research and contribute to the Nexus-Gains Initiative under the One-CGIAR umbrella. I hold a Master’s degree in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Hindu College, Delhi University.
Previously, I served as Senior Research Officer at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and Research and Training Manager at Evidence for Policy Design (EPoD-HKS) where I further honed my skills in interdisciplinary research and policy analysis. My experience also includes conducting applied behavioral microeconomic experiments to address barriers to sustainable agricultural intensification, as part of the Cereal Systems Initiative for South Asia (CSISA).
I am known for my ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity and strength, ensuring impactful engagement with diverse stakeholders. My academic and professional journey has equipped me to thrive in multicultural environments, collaborating effectively with international teams across Europe and South Asia. Driven by curiosity and a commitment to positive change, I am passionate about advancing sustainable development through rigorous research, dynamic leadership, and cross-cultural collaboration.
