Two fully funded PhD positions and two fully funded postdoc positions are available
The University of Trento is one of the most active higher education and research institutions in Italy, ranking second among the small-sized university of the Country. The Physics Department is home to fundamental, theoretical and experimental research in several areas of physics. Employing ~150 among staff, technicians, PhD students and postdocs, the Department has attracted several national and international scientists as well as a number of research grants, including ERC grants.
The VARIAMOLS project is currently hiring two PhD's and two postdocs. The PhD positions are both 3-years-long. The postdoc positions are both 2-years-long. The starting date for PhD positions is late Fall 2018, for postdocs it will be mid January, 2019. The selection will be performed through an open call. Candidates will be prescreened based on track record and titles, then selected through an interview.
The ideal candidates will have degrees in physics, mathematics, computational biology, computer science, and/or related areas. Details on the requirements depend on the specific position and project, and will be detailed in the call.
