Update on Quarantine Policy

1. To enter Korea, you must bring the NEGATIVE certificate

• Either a supervised Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) taken at a hospital or clinic, or a DNA amplification-based PCR test (RT-PCR, LAMP, TMA, SDA, or NEAR, etc) is valid.

• A PCR negative certificate must be issued within 48 hours (two days) before the departure date. A supervised negative COVID-19 RAT result must be issued within 24 hours prior to the departure date.

(Example) If you are departing from a country to Korea on May 23, 2022, at 10:00, you must submit your negative PCR test result taken after 00:00 on May 21, 2022, or supervised negative RAT result taken after 00:00 on May 22, 2022.

• Regardless of the testing technique, it is not acceptable if the sample collection is conducted on its own without a supervisor.

• Name*, date of birth**, test method, test date, test result, date of issuance, and name of testing center should be included in the test result.

2. Those who enter Korea must do a PCR test within 72 hours of arrival.

• Foreigners staying for a short time can do it at the airport.

• The price is 80,000 won ($65); our honorarium contain this expense as well

• Until the test results come out, you just have to wait at the place reported to the accommodation in Q-code. (If you report to Jeju Shinhwa World, you can wait there)

• Foreigners on a short-term stay do not have a residence, so if the test is positive, they will be quarantined according to the following:

  1. If you have no symptoms or only mild symptoms, you should go to a local government-designated living treatment center.

  2. If you have symptoms, you are quarantined at a public health center.

3. In order to be exempt from self-quarantine, you must have been vaccinated.

This restriction will no longer be valid from June 8th; you can enter the country without quarantine even if you are not fully vaccinated.

4. Whether or not PCR testing is required when returning to the home country from Korea must be determined by the home country's quarantine policy.

In the case of the United States, a negative confirmation of PCR test or approved antigen test (self-diagnosis kit) issued within 24 hours prior to the departure date. US no longer requires it. You can do that in Airport and it will take 1 hour if you do antigen test. You can reserve the test from:
