The Screening Survey is a quick and straightforward online questionnaire designed to assess your eligibility for participation in the vape free research project. Eligible participants will be invited to the Main Study. It inquires about your basic vaping habits, interest in quitting, and residency in a rural area. Completing the survey should only take approximately 5 minutes.

This is a brief Zoom meeting during which a case manager will review the consent form with you and provide details about the project, including payment information. By the meeting's end, you will have chosen a quit date, completed a baseline survey by email, and received $20 in Amazon e-gift cards. Completion of the Zoom meeting and baseline survey should only take approximately 30 minutes each.

The Text-Messaging E-Cigarette Cessation Treatment Program consists of two groups, Group A and Group B, which will receive text messages for two months. Each participant in both groups will receive up to $100 in Amazon e-gift cards during the main study.

One month following the end of the program you will be invited to a 1-Month Post-Intervention Assessment by text, which will inquire basic questions regarding your wellbeing as well as any changes in habits. You will receive $20 in Amazon e-gift cards after at the completion of this 1-Month Post-Intervention Assessment. 

Along with the assessment we will send saliva collection supplies with which you will collect your saliva sample following the instructions enclosed and send your frozen sample to our research office using the prepaid UPS shipping package. You will receive $20 in Amazon e-gift cards once we receive your saliva sample.
