Hi, my name is Vanessa Velazquez and I was born in March 2010 at the Scripps La Jolla Hospital at San Diego, CA in the Pregnancy and Childbirth Care Department. When I was born, I was treated in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care) center for some type of respiratory issues during 6 days and my Pediatrician was Doctor Orville Douglas Willson. I do not remember that experience but for my parents it was meaningful and thanked all its staff for taking care of me during this stressful time.
For this reason, we would like to help others under the same circumstances as well as encourage and support students applying to their University studies.
