For the record, please do not use torrents to download copyrighted work. I encourage everyone to support the legal US releases of Gundam anime and all franchises. When I was collecting anime DVDs years ago, I bought just just about every single US Bandai Gundam series "box set" (the ones in those wide "single" DVD cases that could house like six different DVDs). I'm just a bit skeptical about the reasons for re-dubbing, because I've watched a friend's torrent of the HD Remaster with dual audio from years ago and from what he and I recall the original U.S. dub from the TV series was intact and their was no missing audio from new scenes added or re-animated sequences. So my question is, were their actually new scenes added that would not have been dubbed for the release of the compilation movies? This HD Remaster is years old at this point and it wasn't all that impressive. The main reason being that the computer-based cell coloring and animation used for Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny at the time of their creation do not lend themselves well to very crisp high resolution remasters (similar case as with Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust but not as bad). This really just feels like a cash grab by Nozomi to justify a high selling cost.
