Where I start to drift from Totilo's mostly positive review, and the positive reviews of many others, is the combat. At first I tried regular poison, but the two posted guards behind the target see me as I use the poison. Then I tried poison darts, but that is a high profile enough action to get detected. Once used a money bomb to stay hidden, but it didn't work out. So instead a Datura poison bomb was used. This bought me enough time to almost get away from the area at the time of death.

i dont like "mysterious death" assassinations with poison darts. it doesnt seem mysterious to me if theres a dart sticking out of his butt.
poison darts delay death, so guards dont become suspicious as quickly.
I think we have so many projectile weapons is because Ubisoft wanted the player to feel like a badass. With more weapons at our disposal, we have more ways on how to assassinate guards. Personally, I like using the poison darts, throwing darts, and crossbow. Rarely will I ever use the hidden gun because it just seems so outta place. I just seems...weird to me.

Can't argue with that, however the bombs blow up on impact, meaning Ezio can drop them as he runs. Things like throwing knives and poison darts are silent so if Ezio gets into a position to take the shot undetected Batman will be clueless. I'm also sure if Ezio lines up a shot with the hidden gun while undetected Batman won't be able to react in time because he won't know he's being shot at until he hears the shot being fired, and then it's too late.
@the_red_viper: He can line up 3 kill shots on armored enemies with throwing knives. With bombs he knows exactly where they will land even when they bounce off of surfaces. He's also a keen shot with his crossbow, hidden gun and poison darts.
