Welcome to the oldest tournament in Calontir, as we continue with more Fighting, Archery, Equestrian, Arts and Sciences, Bardic and Youth activities.

Directions: Take your best route to I-135 in Wichita, Ks. Follow I-135 to the north edge of Wichita Ks. To K96 West. Continue to K-96 to Ridge Road north to 73rd ST. North. Turn Left on 73rd ST., and continue for several miles. This road leads to and ends at the site. Look for SCA signs.

Gate and Site Opens: Aug 30 6:00 pm – 12:00 am

31 7:00 am – 10:00 pm

Sept 01 8:00 am – 2:00 pm

02 Site Closes @ 12:00 pm

Lost and Found will be at Gate during the weekend

Heavy Fighting:

○ Saturday – 9:00 am Inspections and Authorizations, then melee’s melee’s melee’s

○ Sunday – 9:00 am Inspections (no authorizations before tournaments)

10:00 am Tournament of Valor - 2 handed sword with thrust

○ Guardian Invitational – Description: any past winner or past winner can invite someone to fight in their stead; they may have a representative for each number of times they have won Valor.


○ Saturday - Authorizations and Inspections 10-12.

Valor Tournament 1:00 pm followed by Bear Pit Tourney

o Sunday - Inspections and Authorizations 10-12 then Melee’s, Melee’s, Melee’s

Youth Combat

o Saturday - Open practice

o Sunday - Valor Tourney Hand and a half sword after Heavy Fighting Valor Tourney.


o Saturday – 9:00 am Authorizations, 10:00 am Boffer warm up, 11:00 am Valor Challenge, 1:00 pm ish Rhiannon’s Challenge, 2:30 pm ish Tippet Tag.

Valor Challenge= Challenge course with reeds, a javelin throw and/or ring tilt (depending on course size), a obstacle or two, and quintain. Quarks: All Eo Ranked riders cannot run course any slower than a trot. Bonus points for doing ENTIRE course at a canter. If a ranked rider drops any slower than a trot at any point in time (with the exception of picking up the lance) will have points deducted. Also, a separate and judged barding challenge during the course run. Bring out your fanciest barding to do all the things! Barding will be judged by either TRM or TE Vatavia (deferring to their schedules)

o Sunday – 9:00 am Authorizations, 10:00 am Katrin’s Challenge, 11:30 am Paisley’s Challenge. Afternoon open riding for trails, tippet tag, or boffers.

○ Sunday – 8 – 9 am Bring your entry to the main hall. Judging will by populace vote. The theme for this year’s Valor Arts and Sciences competition is ‘Opulence’ in any medium. What does opulence mean to you? Glittering jewels and pearls, luxurious silks and furs, intricate embroidery, hand-sewn clothes? Or is opulence something different? Bring your opulent project to Valor with minimum note card documentation.


○ During Feast - Saturday night 6:00 P.M. Entertain TRM’s with something different

o Second Remove - Lentil Soup

o Third Remove - White Fish with cream dill sauce and wild rice

o Fourth Remove - Roasted Beef and Lamb Gyro with lettuce,tomato and Tzatziki Sauce on Pita

o Fifth Remove - Rose Water Cookies and Date, Pecan Tarts with Goat Cheese

Sunday Night Party – HL Willim Douglas is heading this up . Bring your favorite drink

Site Amenities: Site is discreetly wet.

The site includes a A/c full Hall, Plenty of camping space, a nature trail, showers, indoor rest rooms also porta Johns, and fire pits.

No ground fires!

Pool is open Saturday and Sunday 2 - 8 pm

Dogs are allowed if on a leash or in a run. Please clean up any messes.
