Welcome to my webpage!
I am currently a postdoctoral research associate at the Carolina Population Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Georgia. Broadly, my research interests lie in the economics of food policy, demand and price analysis, and applied econometrics, primarily methods for program evaluation and causal inference. My current research examines the effectiveness of national and targeted price-based policy interventions (e.g., food taxes and subsidies) in improving food purchasing patterns and nutrition of US households. The second component of my research program evaluates federally-funded food and nutrition assistance programs (e.g., SNAP, WIC, and school meal programs) in the US.
