The center heart is stamped with one of the hearts in the All My Love Stamp Set and die cut with the All My Love Coordinating Dies. I stamped in Versamark Ink and then embossed with white embossing powder. Then I blended a red ink over the white embossing. I used a combination of two stamp sets and dies to create the embellishments around the heart, the Valentine Hearts Stamp Set and Dies, and the Love Stamp Set and Dies.

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and it's safe to say I'm excited! Why wouldn't I be, I mean? A day filled with hearts, flowers, chocolate and all things sweet? Sign me up!

And one of my favourite things is making Valentine's Day themed foods because they're always girly, sprinkly and fun! Which is why I decided to create the Valentine's Day Cupcake! This is absolutely perfect for gifting to special someones, friends and families, along with being a fun snack to devour (if you want to keep it all for yourself - no judgement!)

VALENTINE'S DAY CUPCAKE Prep Time: 30 mins | Cook Time: | Makes: 12Ingredients: Cupcakes (I used this recipe) Buttercream frosting (You can either buy it or make it yourself. I used this recipe - just tint it pink and don't put any oreo cookies into it!) Milk chocolate melts Sprinkles and decoration (optional) (Additional) Piping bag Method:Make your cupcakes On the same day, print out a sheet with the words 'xoxo' written on it several times in any font you choose. Make sure to space it out evenly. Place the printed sheet under a piece of baking paper on a trayMelt chocolate. You can use the microwave or the stove. Do this carefully and keep an eye on it so it doesn't seize. (I used the microwave because it doesn't seize as easily) Transfer chocolate to a piping bag (melt the chocolate down properly otherwise it will get stuck in the tip - also, use a small frosting tip) Once in the piping bag, start tracing out the words 'xoxo' using the printed sheet as a reference (trace them out thickly and go over the words so they hold together better) [refer to below image]Place the tray in the fridge until it has hardened Make your buttercream frosting and pipe it onto your cupcakes Decorate if you wish to using sprinkles [refer to below image]Once the 'xoxo' has hardened, place onto cupcake (be careful otherwise they will fall apart!)

TA DA! Now you have delicious V-day themed cupcakes to share with loved ones or eat by yourself! Feel free to go crazy with colours, writing (you could make chocolate hearts using the milk chocolate as well) and sprinkles!

Just remember to share your creations with me on Instagram or Twitter so I can like, share and retweet all your stuff!

Are you excited for Valentine's Day? Let me know in the comments!

I also searched high and low for new napkin rings, and have been thrilled with these acrylic napkin ring vases. They come in packages of 4 for $12.00. I have used them so many times since; as they can complement any theme and can be altered easily with different flowers. They even look great as tiny vases without the napkins simply scattered around the house. They look expensive and would be such a great gift too!!

Whether it is simply wearing red or going all out in formal attire, dressing up for the meal can definitely add to the whole experience. The past few years they have worn their Valentine shirts to dinner. This year I have them wear some themed pajamas since it will be for breakfast.

I made this cookies today and they were perfect! I had the dough in the fridge for about 2.5 hours and it was easy to work with and so easy to cut out hearts. I used the royal icing and they taste great together!

I used my Eiffel Tower collection on the dinning table, along with some sweetheart roses. The French like to group one flower together, so I went with red and pink roses , and love how easy and pretty it turned out.

This series of Valentine's Day coasters is the perfect gift idea for your sweetheart on this special occasion! Featuring 2 different fun messages including the classic "Happy Valentine's Day" and "Love is in the Air" that are sure to be the perfect gift for your significant other. Full color artwork is vibrantly depicted on these cork bottom heart shaped coasters. Each heart shaped coaster has a high gloss surface so all colors really jump out, and the bottom of the coaster features a non-slip, non-scuff cork bottom.

Heart scavenger hunt: Cut out red hearts and use them to plan a fun scavenger hunt for your family throughout the house. Hide each to be discovered with clues leading to the next. At the end provide a special prize, such as a sweet treat or supplies for a family movie night. Kids will love searching for clues and the surprise at the end is guaranteed to delight.

This beautiful but simple page by @pens.paper.planning is created by using either a brush pen or a Zebra mildliner to write the month, and then outlining it with a fine liner. Add a mini calendar, some baby hearts and cute stickers to complete the look.

This beautiful cover page by @lettering_studying_lisa is also simple to recreate. Draw yourself a large heart, add a banner and some lettering, then strings of hearts and colour in with your favourite art supplies!

I have had this heart shaped wreath made with felt for several years. Here is a cute raffia heart shaped wreath. Here is the same raffia heart wreath in RED. And another cute heart wreath option HERE.

Valentine's Day is a much-celebrated day for lovers, and nothing is cuter than a little puppy love on February 14th. However, Valentine's Day is not just for lovers. Many people's Valentine's Day gift ideas are to celebrate with adopting a dog for themselves as well as getting gifts for their pets; after all, there is no love like the love of your canine companion. People who adopt a dog on or near Valentine's Day may want to remember the special moment. Naming your dog after a Valentine's Day theme is the perfect way to remember where you were and the love you felt when you first set eyes on your best friend.

Fortunately, a good Samaritan found the poor suffering puppy and brought him to a local rescue for rehabilitation. The sweet puppy was found in February and owing the season of love as well as his heart-shaped nose; his rescuers named him Cupid. Cupid's Internet fame rose quickly as his sad beginnings and triumphant recovery made headlines across the globe. Cupid was fitted with prosthetics resembling skis and later a front wheel to help the growing puppy adjust to his new life. Rescue dogs, especially those who have such sad starts are always capable of stealing our hearts, and Cupid befits his name well.

Cupid is a popular choice for Valentine's Day dogs but so is Hallmark. The Hallmark Channel is well-known in pop culture for their heartfelt productions and Valentine's Day brings out some of the media company's best love stories. No Valentine's Day movie is complete without some puppy love. In 2012, Hallmark released Puppy Love featuring a single mom who adopts a dog named Jake from the pound for her daughter. Jake's former owner tracks down his dog who got lost and finds his new family can't live without him and this leads to romance. Hallmark also released another feature in 2018 titled Walking the Dog. This Valentine's Day movie brings two lawyers, who are pitted against one another, together through their dogs' mutual affection for each other. Hallmark makes for an excellent Valentine's Day dog name, and owners can cuddle up with their favorite pooch while watching Valentine's Day movies. Another notable movie featuring lovers and dogs is the Diane Lane and John Cusack flick, Must Love Dogs. Mother Theresa, the large Newfoundland Dog is another example of a great pop culture name for a dog that brings two people together.

Like so many themes, there are no breed, size, or color restrictions on the Valentine's Day theme. Most people chose this theme to help name their new family member because they're adopted him or her for, or around Valentine's Day. However, not even the time of year is restrictive, and you can choose a Valentine's Day name in mid-July if that suits your feelings about your dog. Valentine's Day is about love, and the only consideration owners should take is how much they love their dog. Within the Valentine's Day theme, there are names that are more size, breed, and color specific. For example, Red or Rose might be more fitting for a reddish brown colored dog. Pet names like Sweetpea, Pookie, or Snookums may suit smaller dogs better while Thaddeus, Roman, and Conor sound like big dog names. Many names within the Valentine's Day theme are derived from non-English words and owners may wish to pay their dog's breed heritage homage by selecting one of these names. For example, you may want to name your French heritage Papillon Aime, which is French for love or your German heritage Schnauzer Shotzey, which is German for loved one. 006ab0faaa
