I am a Postdoctoral researcher at University of Lucerne, Switzerland. I hold a PhD in Economics and Management from University of Lucerne and my research focuses on education and health economics. In particular I investigate the causal effect of education systems on education and mental health outcomes of students and adolescents. My research aims to contribute to our understanding of how to optimally design school systems to reduce intergenerational patterns of education and health and decrease inequality in the society. Currently, in the context of the Swiss school system, I analyze how relative school starting age and age ranks within classes affect students of different socio-economic backgrounds differently. My empirical research borrows from the latest methods in applied econometrics using large administrative data sets.
