I'm a Lecturer in Syntax and Language Acquisition in the department of Linguistics and Phonetics at the University of Leeds, and a member of the Leeds Child Development Unit. My research focuses on the acquisition of syntax and the interaction between syntactic structures, interpretation and processing. I earned my PhD at Leeds in 2012 and was a post-doc at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2013/14.

My recent work examines the relation between locality of syntactic computations and strategies of anaphora resolution both in child language acquisition and adult on-line processing. I am currently investigating how perspective is encoded in children's early linguistic representations and the relation between the development of intensionality and the acquisition of anaphora.
