Valentina Ciccone

Welcome!

I am a PhD student in Mathematics at the University of Bonn, Germany, under the supervision of Christoph Thiele

I obtained a Master's degree in Mathematics at the University of Padova, Italy, in 2021.

My current research interests are mainly in the area of Harmonic Analysis. I have been working on problems related to sharp Fourier restriction theory, on the endpoint mapping properties of certain Marcinkiewicz multipliers, and on the characterization of certain sparse sets of integers in terms of Fourier restriction estimates.

In 2023 I have spent several months in Bilbao, Spain, visiting Ioannis Parissis at the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU and Odysseas Bakas and Mateus Sousa at the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics - BCAM.

I am also an engineer. In 2020 I obtained my PhD in Information Engineering at the University of Padova, Italy, where I have spent three years as a PhD student in the Automatic Control Group. My PhD advisor was Augusto Ferrante.
