Vakit (“the app”) is developed by Rapid Dijital Hizmetler Limited Şirketi (“Rapid Mobile”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app uses, where it goes, and the choices you have.
In short
Vakit has no accounts. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number.
We do not run our own servers, and we do not receive or store your personal data.
Your location is used only on your phone, to calculate prayer times and the qibla direction. It is never sent to us or to any third party.
Your prayer tracking, missed prayers, dhikr, khatm progress and settings are stored only on your phone.
Some information leaves your phone through third-party services that we use for ads (free version only), subscriptions, and usage statistics and crash reports. Each one is described below.
We do not sell your data, and we do not ask for permission to track you.
Information that stays on your phone
Location
If you allow location access, your location is used on your phone to calculate prayer times, the qibla direction and the traveler alert. You can also choose a city yourself; city search uses a list stored inside the app and does not go online.
Your records and settings
Prayer tracking, missed prayers, dhikr counts, khatm progress, saved places and settings are stored in the app’s storage on your phone and in its widgets. They are not sent to us. If you delete the app, they are deleted. They may be included in backups that iOS itself makes of your phone (for example iCloud Backup), which are managed by Apple.
Notifications
Adhan notifications and reminders are scheduled by your phone itself. No server is involved.
Information processed by third-party services
Advertising (free version only) — Google AdMob
The free version of Vakit shows small ads served by Google AdMob. We request non-personalized ads and limit ad content to material suitable for general audiences. To show an ad, Google receives information such as your IP address (from which an approximate location can be derived), information about your device and the app, and how you interact with the ad (for example, whether it was shown or tapped). Google uses this information to deliver ads, limit how often an ad is shown, measure ads and prevent fraud.
Vakit does not ask for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency), so the advertising identifier of your device (IDFA) is not available to Google through Vakit.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google’s consent message is shown before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings › Privacy › Ad privacy choices.
With Vakit Plus, no ads are shown and no ads are requested from Google.

Subscriptions — Apple and RevenueCat
Vakit Plus is bought through Apple’s App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details. To check whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous app user ID, your App Store purchase and transaction records for Vakit, and basic device and app information (such as the iOS version, the app version and the App Store country). Your name and email address are not sent.

Usage statistics and crash reports — Google Firebase
To understand how the app is used and to fix crashes, Vakit uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. They receive which screens are used and how often, steps in the subscription process (such as the plan chosen), the device model, the iOS and app versions, an approximate country and city derived from your IP address, a Firebase installation identifier, and crash logs. Your location data and your prayer and dhikr records are never sent. These statistics are not used for advertising: the advertising features of Google Analytics are turned off and no advertising identifier is used.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Firebase Analytics does not store identifiers until you give consent in Google’s consent message; until then it can only send signals without identifiers.
You can turn off usage statistics and crash reports at any time in the app under Settings › Privacy › Send statistics and crash reports.

Qibla map — Apple Maps
If you open the map on the Qibla screen, map images are loaded from Apple Maps, so Apple receives the map area being shown. The compass works without the internet.

What we never do
We never require an account.
We never track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
We never sell or rent your data.
We never send your location, prayer records or dhikr records anywhere.
Legal bases
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or similar laws apply, we rely on: your consent for ad-related processing and for analytics storage (given in Google’s consent message, and which you can withdraw at any time); our legitimate interest in keeping the app stable and improving it for crash reports and usage statistics, which you can turn off at any time in the app; and the performance of our contract with you for verifying your subscription.
Children
Vakit is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads in the free version are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
Data retention
We do not keep your personal data on servers of our own. Information on your phone stays there until you delete it or the app. Information received by Google, RevenueCat and Apple is kept according to their own retention policies.
International transfers
Google, RevenueCat and Apple may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States, using their own safeguards for international transfers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. Because Vakit has no accounts and we do not hold your data, most of it can be controlled directly in the app (Settings › Privacy) or removed by deleting the app. For information held by Google, RevenueCat or Apple, you can also contact them directly. If you have a request or a question, email us and we will help. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
