Privacy Policy for Vajan Weight Tracker

Vajan Weight Tracker is developed by Priyanshu Ranjan. This privacy policy explains how Vajan handles user data.
Vajan is designed as a private, offline-first weight and body tracking app. The app does not require an account, login, email address, or registration.
Data Collection
Vajan does not collect, sell, rent, or share user data with the developer.
The app may allow users to enter or store the following information on their own device:
Weight entries
Body measurements
Notes
Progress photos
Goals
Profile details entered by the user
Reminder settings
Theme and app preferences
Health Connect weight and steps data, if enabled by the user
This data is stored locally on the user’s device unless the user chooses to back it up or sync it using available backup features.
Photos and Camera
If the user chooses to add progress photos, Vajan may request camera or gallery access. Photos selected or captured by the user are used only inside the app for personal tracking and are stored locally on the device unless included in a user-created backup.
Health Connect
Vajan may optionally connect with Android Health Connect if the user enables it. Health Connect may be used to sync weight entries and read step data. This feature is optional and requires user permission. Vajan does not send Health Connect data to the developer.
Backups and Google Drive
Vajan may offer manual backup and restore or Google Drive sync. These features are controlled by the user. Backup files may include weight logs, notes, photos, measurements, goals, and app settings.
If the user chooses to back up data to Google Drive or another storage location, that data is stored in the user’s own account or selected location. The developer does not own, control, access, or receive the user’s backup data. Users are responsible for managing, protecting, restoring, and deleting their own backups.
Data Sharing
Vajan does not share personal user data with the developer or third parties.
Any data transferred through Health Connect, Google Drive, or the user’s own backup/export action is initiated by the user and handled by the relevant service or storage provider.
Data Retention
Vajan keeps user data on the user’s device for as long as the user keeps it in the app. The developer does not store user data on external servers.
If the user creates backups, those backups remain wherever the user saved them until the user deletes them.
Data Deletion
Users can delete their data inside the app by deleting logs, notes, photos, measurements, or other saved information. Users can also uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data from the device, subject to Android system behaviour.
Backups created by the user must be deleted by the user from the location where they were saved, such as Google Drive, local storage, or another backup location.
Security
Vajan is built to keep user data local and private. However, users are responsible for securing their own device, screen lock, cloud account, and backup files.
Children’s Privacy
Vajan is not designed to knowingly collect personal data from children. Since the app does not collect data on developer servers, any information entered into the app remains under the control of the device user.
Changes to This Policy
This privacy policy may be updated when Vajan changes features or data handling practices. The latest version will be available on this page.
