This section talks about basic overview of the project.
Business Data Management Capstone Project is an integral part of the course BSCMS2001 offered by Indian Institute of Technology Madras under BS degree in Data Science and Applications at Diploma Level.
This is an independent research project, which is to be done based on the understanding of learner's theoretical subject, i.e., BDM.
In this Project, Learner have to reach out to a business (organized/unorganized). Every business has problem(s). The learner converses with the business owners and try to understand the problems they face.
Then take a problem or two and collect data pertaining to that problem. The data he/she collects in this process is “Primary Data”, which means data collected for the problem at hand.
The primary data could be given by the owner(s) themselves or by other methods of primary data collection.
Then the data needs to be cleaned and analyzed. There is no restriction over what Statistical or even Machine Learning model the learner wishes to use on data.
After analyzing, report preparation and presentation is to be done; where learner concludes his study and presents possible solutions for the business owner(s) which is inferred from the analysis he/she has done on the data.
