Workshop on Variational Analysis and Euclidean Jordan algebras
September 26 and 27, 2024
Universidad de O'Higgins, Rancagua, Chile
AIMS AND SCOPE
This workshop aims to bring together researchers from fields such as optimization, mathematical analysis, and algebra to discuss methods and problems in variational analysis involving cones, spaces of matrices, Euclidean Jordan algebras, or related systems.
VENUE
The workshop takes place at the Universidad de O'Higgins, Av. Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins 611, Rancagua, Chile.
All the academic activities will be held in room E706 (Building E, Floor 7)
To arrive from the Airport of Santiago to Rancagua, you can do the following:
Take a taxi. It costs about 65 US dollars and takes about 1 hour of trip. Attention: Buy the taxi ticket before crossing the arrival gate, the company "transvip" is recommended. For safety reasons, do not take unauthorized taxis outside of the arrival gate.
The following options are the cheapest ones, they cost less than10 USD but take about 2.5 hours:
Take the shuttle bus "Centropuerto" to the bus station "Terminal del Sur". From there, you can take a bus to Rancagua (Terminal O'Higgins).
Take the shuttle bus "Centropuerto" to the bus station "Estación Central". From there, you can take a train to Rancagua (Estación Rancagua).
To move in Rancagua, there are taxi services from the bus and train stations. You can also use the app taxis (Uber, DiDi, Cabify), which works well.
