Ontario no longer requires businesses and organizations to check for proof of vaccination. However, individual businesses and organizations may choose to require proof of vaccination upon entry, on their own volition, providing the requirements or policies comply with all applicable privacy laws, including the Ontario Human Rights Code. Businesses may choose to seek independent legal advice on continuing these measures on a voluntary basis.

The certificate facilitated safe travel for citizens across the European Union when Member States restricted travel on the grounds of public health. In addition, it allowed to coordinate the lifting of these restrictions from the moment it was possible. Indeed since August 2022 there have been no intra-EU travel restrictions anymore.

The WHO will facilitate this process globally under its own structure with the first use-case being the convergence of digital COVID-19 certificates. This includes taking up EU standards and validating digital signatures to prevent fraud. In doing so, WHO will not have access to any underlying personal data, which would continue to be the exclusive domain of national governments.

To facilitate the uptake of the EU Digital COVID certificate by the WHO and contribute to its operation and further development, the WHO and the European Commission have agreed to partner in digital health.

Joining the WHO Global Digital Health Certification Network is voluntary for the Member States. The Council Recommendation adopted on 27 June 2023 encourages all Member States to join the WHO system, and to continue issuing COVID-19 certificates upon request.

Extension of the EU Digital COVID Certificate Regulation until 30 June 2023. Member States are now able to issue vaccination certificates to participants of clinical trials and will recognise additional types of antigen tests.

Guidelines laying out interoperability requirements of digital vaccination certificates were adopted, building on discussion held between the Commission and Member States in the eHealth Network since November 2020.

COVID-19 vaccination is required by many businesses, events and employers. The following types of proof are accepted in Washington. Some locations may only accept one specific type from the list below.

Until 1 July 2023, you can generate a digital certificate in the CoronaCheck app or at CoronaCheck.nl. You can also print a paper certificate at coronacheck.nl/en/print. This paper certificate can be used for 1 year after that.

If you gave permission for your data to be passed on to RIVM, the organisation that vaccinated you will have done so. You can access your overview of vaccination on mijn.rivm.nl (choose English). If you did not give permission, you can do this now. Or you can ask the organisation that vaccinated you for an overview of your vaccinations.

Important: This feature is available from healthcare providers that issue SMART Health Cards on Pixel 4 and later in the US, Canada, and Australia. To add quick access to a COVID-19 Vaccine Card with a QR code, you must install the Google Wallet app on your phone and have an active internet connection.

Coronavirus vaccination certificates will be required to enter certain events and higher risk venues, such as nightclubs, music festivals and some football grounds, if Parliament backs the move in a vote planned for next week.

While Covid cases continue to rise and to avoid as little disruption to the economy as possible, the Scottish Parliament will be asked to vote on the introduction of the certification scheme which will only be implemented once all adults have had the opportunity to receive both doses of the vaccine. Children and adults that are ineligible for vaccination will be exempt.

From Friday 3 September, people will be able to download a PDF copy of their vaccination certificate, with a personalised QR code, to print off instantly or store on their mobile phone for use domestically or internationally. This is in addition to the existing paper letters that can be requested from NHS Inform and the Covid Vaccine Status helpline.

On September 1, 2021, the Ontario government announced that starting September 22, Ontarians will need to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide proof of vaccination along with photo ID to access certain public settings and facilities. By October 22, Ontario plans to develop and implement an enhanced digital vaccine certificate with unique QR (Quick Response) code that will verify vaccination status when scanned. A paper version of the certificate will be available for download or can be printed from the COVID-19 vaccination provincial portal.

While receiving a COVID-19 vaccine remains voluntary, the OHRC takes the position that mandating and requiring proof of vaccination to protect people at work or when receiving services is generally permissible under the Human Rights Code (Code) as long as protections are put in place to make sure people who are unable to be vaccinated for Code-related reasons are reasonably accommodated. This applies to all organizations.

Organizations that are not included in the list of settings but wish to mandate vaccines are encouraged to use the provincial proof of vaccine certificate with the written documentation showing medical inability to receive the vaccine as their way of meeting the duty to accommodate where needed.

The OHRC also stresses the need to make sure digital proof of vaccine certificates are designed to be fully accessible to adaptive technology, including for smart phone users with disabilities, in accordance with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act regulations.

Many organizations are not included in the list of settings. Organizations with a proven need for COVID-related health and safety requirements might also put COVID testing in place as an alternative to mandatory vaccinations or as an option for accommodating people who are unable to receive a vaccine for medical reasons. Organizations should cover the costs of COVID testing as part of the duty to accommodate.

As with any regulatory regime requiring enforcement, providing law enforcement or any organization with discretionary powers to assess proof of identification and vaccination may result in disproportionate application and impact on members of marginalized and vulnerable communities. Any regime that requires service users to present government-issued documents may also create barriers for people experiencing homelessness or who are undocumented.

The OHRC urges governments and organizations to take proactive steps to make sure any enforcement of vaccine mandates or proof of vaccination policies does not disproportionately target or criminalize Indigenous peoples, Black and other racialized communities, people who are experiencing homelessness, or with mental health disabilities and/or addictions.

Individuals with an email or phone number on file with the New Jersey Immunization Information System can access and download their COVID-19 vaccination record using the app. The app can also provide access to family members' records through a shared account.

Docket is a CDC-approved application currently used in Utah and planned for rollout in additional states. Information in Docket will only be used to provide consumers with electronic access to their own COVID-19 vaccination record, however, future plans include expanded access for other full immunization histories. The app adheres to federal and state standards for data security and privacy.

Your registration information is used to locate an exact record match in the immunization registry. If an exact match is found, a verification code will be sent to the matching phone number. You must enter that code, then your record will be linked and can be viewed on the Immunizations page.

If you received your vaccination in Wisconsin, an electronic copy of your vaccination record is available on the Wisconsin Immunization Registry (WIR). You can access WIR through any web browser and save the electronic copy to your computer or mobile device. Parents and caregivers can also search vaccination records for their children or dependents under 18.
