Abstract
Abstract
Venice is a beautiful city, rich in culture and history, but unfortunately, it has seen a significant decline in population over the past decades. To reverse this trend and promote sustainable growth in and for Venice, we are looking at ways Venetians could create livelihoods in the city through economic opportunities outside the tourism sector while also making a positive contribution to the environment by looking into areas of entrepreneurship in the Blue Economy, such as technology and sustainability. By understanding the concepts, actors, and methods of a Blue Economy, we can more effectively identify possible economic opportunities and provide recommendations to those who may take advantage of them.
