Uvi E Mu Emulator Ii Sampler 1984 Library

The E-mu Emulator II was a groundbreaking digital sampler that was released in 1984. It was the successor of the original Emulator, which was one of the first affordable samplers on the market. The Emulator II improved on its predecessor by offering 8-bit sampling, 512 KB of memory, a 27.7 kHz sample rate, and a built-in sequencer. The Emulator II also featured SSM2045 analog filters, which gave it a warm and distinctive sound quality.

The Emulator II came with a library of sounds that were stored on 5.25-inch floppy disks. These sounds included various instruments, vocals, sound effects, and drum kits. Some of the most famous sounds from the Emulator II library are the Marcato Strings, which were used by many artists in the 80s, such as Pet Shop Boys, New Order, and Depeche Mode; the Ethereal Pad, which was used by Tangerine Dream, Enigma, and Peter Gabriel; and the Liquid Stack, which was used by Depeche Mode on their song "Enjoy the Silence". The Emulator II library also contained some iconic samples from movies and TV shows, such as Star Wars, Star Trek, The Twilight Zone, and Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
