About this Report

This report was originally written as part of the 8-year review of the department of Arts, Culture, and Media (ACM). It was first presented as raw data during a student lunch with the ACM External Reviewers on the 10th of November, 2025. This report focuses specifically on the conditions, thoughts, comments, and opinions of the students of the music program. We hope that this report provides the “music” slice of the complex pie that is the department of Arts, Culture, and Media, highlighting music as a program but also music as a community as well. We are eternally grateful to have a supportive faculty, an incredible staff team, and most of all, to the students that the authors of this report is honored to represent. 

This report is a landmark piece of student achievement in a music program that goes beyond the authors of this report and beyond the current students: it represents voices of the community that have been echoing for changes years before us, and those who will keep on advocating years after. This is also a love letter to a music community that we all cherish. It is out of a position of care do we collectively seek for the improvement of the program. To that, we would like to say thank you to all students who work to carry on the legacy of the community, and we would like to thank the external reviewers for taking their time to review this report.
