Description
The Vision & Artificial Intelligence Lab at UTSA is seeking undergraduate researchers for a project on image segmentation.
This project is funded by the Department of Defense and will focus on encoder/decoder architectures and prototypical networks for few-shot semantic segmentation.
Work on a team of undergraduates and graduate students in computer science at UTSA and collaborating institutions to develop new deep learning models for vision tasks.
Start Date: Summer 2025 (full time) through Fall 2025 (part time, 19hrs/week)

Location: UTSA Main Campus, Vision & AI Lab (NPB 2.214)
Eligibility & Requirements
Required coursework/skills/experience: PyTorch
Recommended coursework/skills/experience: experience with deep learning models for computer vision
U.S. citizenship required?: Yes
Commitment length: Summer and Fall 2025
Possibility for extension of appointment through Spring 2026, pending funding and student performance.
