Description
The UTSA School of Data Science will be posting for an Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program - a paid experiential learning opportunity for the upcoming Spring 2025 semester.
This program is a paid experience that will provide undergraduate students with opportunities to conduct real-world research for practical application under the supervision of a faculty mentor. Through the fellowship, students will gain the skills necessary to successfully navigate the rigors of graduate studies through immersion in research and various scholarly activities, while receiving a $2,000 stipend.

To be eligible for the Undergraduate Research Fellowship, the student must:
have at least 60 credit hours on their transcript
have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
have taken at least one (1) computer programming course

have the desire to conduct research in respective field/major
have interest in pursuing graduate studies
NOT graduate before Summer 2025
Students are strongly encouraged to identify a research project and faculty mentor to work with prior to applying. However, those meeting the eligibility criteria above can still apply without an identified faculty mentor but will be matched to available projects.
