This app, utmbHealthyBrain, is a joint project between the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in the US (representing academia) and the Fo Guang Shan International Buddhist Order (representing charity).
**We do not collect, store, use, share, or transmit any personal information or health data of any kind.**
Key facts:
- The App functions entirely offline and does not require or use an internet connection.
- No account registration is required. We do not collect or ask for names, email addresses, phone numbers, device identifiers, IP addresses, location, or any other personally identifiable information.
- The App does not collect, record, store, or process any health-related data, measurements, notes, or inputs. Any temporary on-device display or calculation happens only locally on your device and is not persisted or collected by us.
- No data is uploaded, synced, backed up to any server, or sent to us or any third parties (except any optional device-level backup you personally enable, such as iCloud or Google device backup, which is controlled by you and your device OS).
- The App contains **no advertising**, no analytics, no tracking, no cookies, no crash reporting, and no third-party services that collect data.
- Because we collect and possess zero user data, there is nothing to share, sell, or disclose.
Security
Since we do not collect, store, or transmit any data, there are no user data security concerns on our side. We recommend securing your device with standard protections (passcode, biometrics, etc.).
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be posted within the App or via any future website. Your continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
