This Privacy Policy describes how UtilityRunner ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile and web application. UtilityRunner is a client application for the Optilogic platform that allows users to manage and execute utilities, monitor jobs, and interact with data storage systems.
Login credentials: Username and password (password is used only during login and is not stored on your device)
Authentication tokens: API key and refresh key, stored securely on your device to maintain your session
Account details: Name, email address, and username as provided by your Optilogic account
Team information: Your current team selection, team name, and team ID
Utility execution data: Which utilities you run, parameter values, job status, and execution results
Notification history: Up to 50 recent notifications stored temporarily in app memory
Cached data: Your list of available utilities, cached locally for improved performance
Push notification token: A unique device token used to deliver push notifications to your device
Biometric enrollment status: Whether you have enabled biometric authentication (Face ID or fingerprint). The biometric data itself is handled entirely by your device's operating system and is never accessed or stored by the App.
Theme preference: Your selected display theme (light, dark, or system)
Location data: The App does not request or collect your device location. Map features display geographic coordinates from existing database records only.
Camera or photos
Contacts or calendar data
Analytics or tracking data: We do not use any third-party analytics services such as Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar tools.
Cookies or persistent tracking identifiers
We use the information we collect solely to:
Authenticate you and maintain your session
Execute utilities and display results on your behalf
Deliver push notifications about job status and updates
Cache data locally to improve app performance
Remember your preferences (theme, team selection)
The App communicates with the following services to provide its functionality:
Optilogic Platform (api.optilogic.app) — Core authentication, account management, and data storage
Optilogic CosmicFrog (api.cosmicfrog.optilogic.app) — Utility definitions, job execution, and data queries
Optilogic Teams Service (service.optilogic.app) — Team management
Optilogic WebSocket Service (wss.optilogic.app) — Real-time updates and notifications
Push Notification Service (optipushnotification.com) — Delivery of push notifications to your device
Expo Push Notification Service — Facilitates push notification delivery on iOS and Android
All data shared with these services is limited to what is necessary for the App to function. Please refer to Optilogic's privacy policy for information on how they handle your data on their servers.
We take the security of your data seriously:
Encrypted transmission: All data is transmitted over HTTPS and secure WebSocket (WSS) connections.
Secure on-device storage: Authentication credentials are stored using your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) with a "when unlocked" access level, meaning credentials are only accessible when your device is unlocked.
Biometric protection: You may optionally enable biometric authentication (Face ID or fingerprint) as an additional layer of security.
Automatic token management: Authentication tokens expire automatically and are refreshed as needed. Expired tokens are removed from your device.
Data cleared on logout: All stored credentials, cached data, and push notification registrations are removed when you log out.
Authentication credentials are stored on your device only while you are logged in.
Cached utility data is stored locally and cleared upon logout.
Notification history is kept in temporary memory (not persisted to disk) and is limited to 50 entries.
Push notification tokens are unregistered from the notification server when you log out.
Logout: You can log out at any time, which removes all locally stored data and unregisters your device from push notifications.
Biometric authentication: Enabling biometric login is optional.
Push notifications: You can enable or disable push notifications through your device settings.
Account management: To modify or delete your Optilogic account data, please contact your Optilogic account administrator.
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
