Sangwook joined the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin as a PhD student in 2018. He received both his Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering (2014) and Master's degree in Structural Engineering (2016) at Yonsei University, South Korea. He is currently focusing on the contribution of composite shear connection of steel gravity framing subjected to seismic load. He is also interested in computational modeling to do seismic analysis, retrofit optimization and successive earthquake. He enjoy playing tennis, basketball, and boxing, and watching football and baseball.
