Hello! My name is Kelly Porter and I am excited to be serving as your USWT Secretary this year! My theme this year is “Getting the Word Out!”. I picked this theme because minutes and newsletters are very important documents in your chapter and state. These documents record and preserve your history. It is also a great way to keep your members and communities up to date on what is going on in your organization!
I look forward to receiving many chapter and state minutes from all over the United States! One of my goals is to receive at least 10 chapters and 5 states to submit their minutes to me. The first chapter and state to submit their minutes to me will receive an extra incentive at Mid-Year!
I am also the contact for all newsletters this year. The first chapter and State to send me a copy of their newsletter will also receive an extra incentive from me at Mid-Year! I want to see how creative you all are and what you are doing in your chapter/state!

Sister States Program was established in the 1986-1987 year; with a larger state being matched up with a smaller state. The purpose of this program is to encourage fellowship and support among our state organizations. To participate, you may want to exchange newsletters, offer state theme kits at conventions, exchange membership ideas, help with membership events or activities (if you are close enough) and support each other throughout the year. The State Presidents or contact should feel free to participate at any level and can delegate responsibility to a staff member, usually the secretary. You will find this a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the organization, your fellow states and chapters and new projects, as well as membership and social ideas. Have fun!
