Depuis 2018, USQUAM développe un univers musical sombre aux confins de la violence et de la mélancolie. Le groupe incarne un "blackened metal" qui puise ses influences dans les styles black, death, post et doom metal.

Des textes à la fois obscurs et singuliers en anglais, français ou encore en latin... une palette de mots aux services des émotions d’une vocaliste enragée. Un voyage initiatique des affres de la solitude jusqu’à l’élévation.

Une musique dans la veine de Behemoth, Naglfar, Dark funeral, Forgotten tombs, Dimmu borgir ou Anorexia nervosa.

Après un premier EP “Reborn” publié en 2021 chez Wormholedeath records, USQUAM revient avec l'album "Ex nihilo" mixé et masterisé par Frédéric Gervais (Studio Henosis).
Un nouvel album qui marque également un changement de line-up significatif avec l'arrivée d'une vocaliste à l'approche agressive et malsaine, avec un panel plus vaste en termes d'influences et d'ambiances.

La sortie de l'album est paru le 31 janvier 2025 sur le label Source atone records.

Since 2018, USQUAM has been developing a dark musical universe bordering on violence and melancholy. The band embodies a “blackened metal” that draws its influences from black, death, post and doom metal styles.

Obscure, singular lyrics in English, French and even Latin... a palette of words at the service of the emotions of an enraged vocalist. An initiatory journey from the throes of solitude to elevation.

Music in the vein of Behemoth, Naglfar, Dark funeral, Forgotten tombs, Dimmu borgir ou Anorexia nervosa.

After a 1st EP “Reborn” published in 2021 by Wormholedeath records, USQUAM returns with the album “Ex nihilo” mixed and mastered by Frédéric Gervais (Studio Henosis).
This new album also marks a significant line-up change, with the arrival of a vocalist with an aggressive, unhealthy approach, and a wider range of influences and mood.
