My first view of Bainbridge was about 1950. I was a Battalion Commander at RTC Great Lakes and when the decision was made to move to Bainbridge I was ordered there to advise and converse with the CO about the facilitates and heads. I was elated to find the bulletin about my first review there - and humbled at the timed about the Mainsheet misspelling my last name. The review I'm taking there as a CDR was when I was Deputy Director to Captain Collins, whom I later succeeded. There was a coincidence too. My good friend Basil King, who lives here in this very small town of Aidon was also stationed there at the same time as I and neither of us were aware of it. We were also later stationed in Japan at the same time and weren't aware of it then either!
