Rose enlisted in the United States Navy on June 19, 1958 and was discharged on July 22 1959 as an HM. She attended the recruit training program for the Waves at Bainbridge. Her duty stations and training included the Hospital Corps. School, Naval Headquarters Great Lakes, NRMC, Preget Sonnd, Bremerton WA., & Aviators Training. She married Corpsman Kep Milton in Vancouver Washington after a short engagement . Kep was a career Navy man and Rose traveled often through many duty stations including Japan. The couple had two children. Lindgren obtained her AA degree from Bernard Community College in Florida and an AB from San Diego in Administration with a Therapy emphasis before taking courses for an M.S. Degree at CSU Sacramento.
