NSCC Advanced Music Summer Training 2022 (25 June – 06 July, 2022)

Announcing AUDITIONS for US Naval Sea Cadet Corps National Band;

Advanced Music Training in celebration of the Sea Cadet’s 60th birthday.

Qualifications:

• Concert band instruments only

• Proficient on instrument and able to quickly learn new music  

• Must have passed RTC or NLCC Orientation prior and be physically fit

·       A video recording of your audition materials, submitted online

o   Uniform of the Day for audition:  NWUs 

Application steps for audition:

2.     IF APPLICABLE, APPROVED ACCOMMODATION, NSCADM 001 (PAGES 9 AND 10 ONLY) – REQUEST FOR ACCOMMODATION

3.     EMAIL TO LCDR JEFFREY DAO @ JEFF.DAO.NSCC@GMAIL.COM WITH YOUR COMPLETED AND SIGNED FORMS (#1 AND/OR #2 ABOVE)

4.     UPON RECEIPT AND REVIEW, YOU MAY RECEIVE AN INVITE TO A DROPBOX ACCOUNT WHICH WILL PROVIDE APPLICABLE SHEET MUSIC, MUSIC AUDITION REQUIREMENTS, AND AUDITION VIDEO RECORDING INSTRUCTIONS

*We will be selecting musicians and one alternate.

All instruments will be asked to prepare the following:

1.    3 Major scales and 3 minor scales, one of each MUST be played 2 octaves. 

2.    A prepared piece of your choice, demonstrating BOTH lyrical and technical passages.
