Usher Khan established the foundation of his career in the medical field by completing his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Neuroscience in 2021. During his pre-med enrollment, the undergraduate Neuroscience major stood as Vice President (VP) of the Pre-SOMA (Students of Osteopathic Medicine Association). Khan thoroughly enjoyed the opportunities this leadership role offered him, from networking with his peers to shadowing practicing physicians on a mission trip to Costa Rica.
Usher Khan is finding his footing in the field of medicine not only in the classroom, but also firsthand. As a volunteer in a hospital emergency department, he is gaining critical experience out on the field. The prospect of saving someone’s life — or even simply positively impacting that person — is priceless to Khan.
Outside of his academic and professional commitments, the aspiring physician is active in his local mosque’s community. As a senior volunteer, Khan assists the mosque in any way that he can.
Usher Khan combines his passion for photography with his expertise in the medical field, exploring the use of photography in science and medicine. Specializing in scientific and medical photography, he brings unique visual insights to complex concepts, showcasing the role of imagery in advancing understanding and communication in healthcare and research.
