eCtouch is an App used for Total Conversation calls. Total conversation is an ITU standard of simultaneous video, voice and text service in telecommunications. eCtouch is usually provided in the context of the cloud based Omnitor service which main purpose if to offer a telecommunications service.
The device camera (android.permission.CAMERA) and microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO) is used to send your video and audio as part of the Total Conversation call. Video and audio is temporarily stored but we never listened to except for diagnostics purposes and never without your given consent. Text conversation is stored locally in your device and may be erased by you. The Omnitor service provides an optional answering machine that record text, audio and video. Your personal answering messages are stored until you change them. Messages that you leave to other users are stored until the called user erases them.
The Total Conversation contacts are stored in and read from your device contact book (android.permission.READ_CONTACTS) which may be local or cloud based. Images or photos from your device may be associated with your contacts if you choose too.
The phone state (android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE) is used to uniquely identify a device based using IMEI.
Your username as part of the Omnitor service could be based on names associated with you or could be anonymous. Information associated with each call as part of the Omnitor service is stored for accounting and support purposes. This information is stored according to national legislation. Information regarding call history per specific username is also stored on each device until you erase the call history.
Device information such as operating system and version, specific hardware device and manufacturer is automatically stored in the Omnitor service. The purpose is to improve our support offering to you.
