WASHINGTON, Jan. 21, 2009 – Today, Acting Secretary Karsen Berry announced that the United States Department of Agriculutre is seeking comment from the public in regards to proposed changes to the Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP). The WHIP program was established to develop and/or improve the lands/areas used for sea creachers and wildlife. 

The USDA released the proposed rule and was published on our website, we are seeking comment from the public on this rule. We will be accepting public comment on this rule until March 17th, 2009.
