Hello! One of the players in my DnD campaign is moving to another state and can no longer make sessions in person, but they'd like to continue playing with us. I am trying to figure out the best solution for this. I know I can use Roll20, but I'm not sure if things will get weird with having most people in person. I usually use my chessex mat for maps, but that won't really work with a player playing remotely.

I am looking for a Media Player that can be remote controlled with a Desktop Software (or even Web based) over the network. I know that there are tons of streaming servers and clients but that's exactly what I don't want to do.

The scenario is:I have small Ubuntu File/Media Server that is connected to the stereo and two notebooks (Mac OS and Ubuntu) that should control the Media Servers Media player. I didn't find any good solution for that yet and I don't really want to use a remote desktop connection (ideally the desktop program should e.g. support importing new media to the server over the network and the server player runs only on command line).

It looks like Remuco might be a good bet SourceforgeWikiPage . It's a remote control system for Linux mediaplayers and mobile devices equipped with bluetooth or wifi. Looks like it would work with Banshee, Amarok and a bunch of other choices. (I'd assume you could run the client from your laptop or if you have a useable phone use that.

Your players are detected automatically and once your device has been paired with your music zones you can access them instantly. The app provides easy access to hard to reach players and a user interface to any players that do not currently have one.

Whether you want to inform your guests of a special promotion, safety warnings or wish them happy birthday, you can select an audio message to playout on-demand, during your playlist. These messages can be brand messages recorded and distributed to all players and properties around the world, or a space-specific message related to just one music zone or site.

No. You do not need a PlayStation Plus membership to use the PlayStation Portal and PlayStation Remote Play. However, if you want to play a game that requires a PS Plus membership for multiplayer access, you will need an active membership to enjoy the multiplayer features of that game.

I have a sony BDP-S370 blu-ray player and I can't find out to setup the remote so it controls the volume on my panasonic tv. I've looked at the sony manual and on page 32 it lists the code numbers of controllable tv's and panasonic is listed with code numbers 17, 49. The manual however does not give any guidance as to where you enter these codes.

I have a lg 37LG3000 (7 years old) and a new Sony blu ray player BDP S3500 but cannot get the volume etc to work with my tv. According to instructions states just need to press the TV on button and the red button on the DVDs remote but doesn't do anything. Please can you advise?.

Does anyone use this app HQPDcontrol v4 ? It was working for a while I don't know what happened, In the HQplayer manual says that remote control have to be enable, but I don't know where to find it. Any Ideas.

On the ios and android conversions of v4, I can't seem to get anything to play. I can select an album and the choices are there, add, add and play, add replace and play etc. but nothing ever makes it to the player despite getting a response that this has happened after my selection. If i start playback on the desktop with hq player, it fills in the remote correctly with the queue and I can control playback. I can't successfully add anything to the queue though. Do I need to have hqplayer client running as well?

Removed old version of HQPlayer 4 remote HQPDcontrol v4 on IOS.Autodiscovery doesn't work says not implemented.Manually enter ip adress works.Under albums how do i get to group by artist. No matter what setting I try it is by album name ?

With a flick or tap of your finger(s), you can even control major functions that your IR remote has. Gesture lets you control with simply tapping or flicking only. Menu, Playback and Cursor give you grouped keys on your IR remote control.

My issue is, the app requires audio to be played in background, which works fine. Note, the video's audio does not need to be played in background. But that means I need to use the remote controls (command center & lock screen commands).

My problem is:The player works also fine when I am on the locked screen with background playing and I do play, pause, but when I do a skipToNext or skipToPrevious here, it goes to paused state (and I can not start from locked screen - but if I open the device I see that the track was changed).

I have a Panasonic DVD recorder too, and every time we would get Panasonic Blu-ray players in for review, my poor DVD recorder would go haywire. Panasonic DVD players, DVD recorders and Blu-ray players all share the same IR code set which means pressing play on any of the remotes will send a play control to all compatible devices.

But there's an easy fix. Check your DVD recorder or Blu-ray player manual for specific details on changing the remote control code. Basically you can set both the player and the remote to a different code set so that they "speak the same language" but this language is different from the standard Panasonic IR code set.

For those with a different model Panasonic Blu-ray player or DVD player, the process and menu settings may be slightly different. But the code setting is available in the set-up menu for virtually all Panasonic Blu-ray players, DVD players and DVD recorders including popular players such as the DMP-BD65 and BD85, DMP-BDT110, DMP-BDT210, DMP-BDT310, DMP-BDT500, DMP-BDT320, DMP-BDT230, DMP-BD330 and many more.

All Panasonic TV remotes use the same Infrared (IR) code which can't be changed. We recommend you place any other Panasonic TVs far enough away from each other so they can be controlled independently.

I have a similar situation I have the DMP-BD75 and I accidentally factory reset it, while trying to make some adjustments to the settings. Now it will not respond to my remote. It will turn on with the remote but that is it. No other function works. I can not even turn it off with the remote. I do not have a manual, it was given to me. But I don't know how to get it back to working correctly.

This happens to me regularly with my Panasonic. In my case a message pops up on screen saying something like "Remote 2". After a bit of googling I found that I need to press and hold the 2 and OK buttons for a few seconds to reintroduce the remote to the machine.

My remote wouldn't work to my Panasonic DMP-BD89 BLU- RAY PLAYER IT WOULD SAY DVD REMOTE 2 EVERY TIME I PUSH ED A DIFFERENT BUTTON SO WHEN THIS MESSAGE POPPED UP AGAIN I PUSHED OK AND 2 HELD IT WOR 5-10 SECONDS AND BAM ITS WORKING NOW THIS IS THE ONLY THING I FOUND THAT WORKS... PRAY YOU HAVE THE SAME RESULT...

These days, most TVs are hooked up to all sorts of external devices like gaming consoles, streaming services, Blu-ray players, and even set-top boxes. This can make it confusing when you want to turn on the TV or turn off a console - which remote should you be using? You can streamline the process by using just one remote to control your Smart TV and other devices. For instance, you can rely on your Samsung universal remote or Amazon Fire Stick to get the job done.

Samsung TVs available in stores and on our website come with a universal One Remote. The remote can control third-party devices that are connected to the TV via HDMI only. For instance, if a Blu-ray player or Xbox is connected via HDMI, you can point the universal remote at the Blu-ray player to begin controlling its functions!

First, connect an external device (such as a Blu-ray player) to an open HDMI port on your TV, and then turn on the external device. Your TV will automatically recognize the device when connected through HDMI, and will switch the source.

Press the Home button on your TV remote to access the Home Screen. Using the directional pad on the remote, navigate to Source. When the selector is placed over Source, the Source menu will appear.

Next, select Start and make sure the device you want to connect is turned on. Select the device you are trying to setup: Cable/Satellite box, Home Theater, OTT Box/Game console (Select this option for Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire etc), or Blu-ray disc Player (Select this option for DVD players). Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup and register the device. The instructions will vary, depending on the device type selected.

Third-party remotes, such as Sony PlayStation controllers or an Amazon Fire Stick, can be used to control a Samsung TV as well. You can find the latest TV models on the Samsung Shop that support third-party controllers and remotes.

Multiple vulnerabilities in the Cisco Webex Network Recording Player for Advanced Recording Format (ARF) could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on a targeted system.

It is possible to open the remote console without opening a browser. The option offered by VMware Server is to create a shortcut on your desktop. On linux it works like this: First login to web access and for the machine that you want to generate a shortcut for, click on the "Generate URL" option. Then change the option to "generate a shortcut" option and then instead of generating a normal URL, have it create an icon to your desktop instead. This will access the remote console in a different way and does not go through the browser. ff782bc1db
