History of the Chapter

On the 26th of August 2016 the current Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the United States Army Warrant Officer Association was chartered. However, the legacy of the USAWOA in and around the Fort Meade, Maryland area runs deep in history.

On the 28th of March 2002, 10 Warrant Officers again petitioned USAWOA to organize the chapter at Ft. Meade, MD.

On the 30th of September 1997, the Fort George G. Meade Chapter of the United States Army Warrant Officer Association had to shutdown due to a hyperactive OPTEMPO of its members of deploying on peacekeeping missions.

On the 7th of May 1984, the Fort George G. Meade Chapter of the United States Army Warrant Officer Association was established .
