Usama Jamal

I am a postdoctoral research fellow based at CY Cergy Paris University. I received my PhD from The University of Manchester in August 2025.

My research interests lie in public economics and applied microeconomics with a focus on tax avoidance and profit shifting by multinationals.

I was a visiting PhD student at the Centre for Business Taxation, University of Oxford, in 2024 and an intern at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 2023.
